Retaliation refers to any adverse treatment you are subjected to after whistleblowing on your employer.
For example, if you contact the press after discovering illegal activity within your company and then had your shift changed to unfavorable or inconvenient hours, you are the victim of retaliation. Suppose a boss or coworker is subjecting you to unwanted physical or verbal behavior based on your race, religion, sex, gender/gender identity, nationality, age (if over 40), or disability. In that case, you are the victim of harassment. For example, if a coworker regularly discusses your body and how attractive you are, you are the victim of sexual harassment.
Deborah P. Gutierrez is dedicated to putting all of this workplace behavior to an end. As a woman working in a male-dominated field, she understands the challenges of the workplace first-hand. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and has secured millions of dollars for her clients throughout her years of practice.
